Relocating
to Stouffville, Ontario – Stoneylake Equestrian at Strathfield
Stouffville, Ontario, February 25, 2009 – Rising stars on the
Canadian and international dressage scene, Tina Busse-Irwin and Jaimey
Irwin, are pleased to announce the relocation of their business,
Stoneylake Equestrian, to Stouffville, Ontario. Effective May
1, the husband and wife team will operate the 150-acre Strathfield
Farm on Warden Avenue at Stouffville Road – just a half hour from
downtown Toronto in the heart of York Region's burgeoning equestrian community.

"We're thrilled to be making this move at this stage of our careers," notes
Tina. "Our training barn in Lakefield was at its maximum capacity and we needed
a larger facility to expand our business due the high demand. Strathfield fills
that need. We're offering a fresh approach and like to think of ourselves as a
2-for-1 deal – clients can be sure that no matter which of us they work
with, they'll receive the same consistent and professional attention wherever
they are on the dressage training scale."
Tina and Jaimey, successful International Grand Prix riders and trainers
short/long listed at the GP for the last two years with their horses Amicelli
and Dover, have spent the past four years building their business in Stoney
Lake, north of Peterborough. Their focus is classical dressage. "We're
proponents of the classical dressage system," says Jaimey, "having trained
extensively in Germany with some top trainers, including Holger Münstermann
whom we continue to train with today." At Strathfield they will continue to run
a full-training program, while also offering limited partial-training
opportunities, clinics, working student positions and ship-in lessons. As well,
a selection of sales horses will be available for the discerning buyer.
Previously top finishing Canadian Young Rider representatives, Tina and Jaimey
are confident of their ability to relate to the needs of dressage youth. "At
this facility we're looking forward to focusing on training Juniors and Young
Riders, helping them to achieve their dreams while perpetuating the sport,"
explains Tina. "At the same time, we recognize the wisdom of balancing this
with the more grounded ideals of the serious adult amateur."
The Irwins will return in April from their winter competition season in
Wellington, FL, where they have worked to maintain their competitive edge
against some of the best in North America, and where Tina was invited to ride
for Canada at the World Dressage Masters, North America's FIRST CDI Five*
Invitational. They're also excited that this move will help with their own
aspirations of riding at the highest international level. They acknowledge that
much of this is possible due to the generosity of sponsors like Hurley
Corporation, the Horgan Family, Schleese Saddlery, ZAP Productions, the
O'Sullivan family, the Carletons, Beresfords, and Ute Busse of Sonnenhof
Stables.
Stoneylake Equestrian at Strathfield is a world-class facility
offering high quality dressage training just 30 minutes northeast of
Toronto in Ontario’s beautiful York Region.
